Abstract
This systematic review and meta-analysis examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of healthcare workers. We conducted a comprehensive search of multiple databases to identify relevant studies published between January 2020 and December 2022. Our analysis included 50 studies with a total sample size of 25,000 healthcare workers. The results indicate a significant increase in symptoms of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among healthcare workers during the pandemic. Factors such as workload, lack of personal protective equipment (PPE), and fear of infection were identified as major contributors to mental health issues.
