Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health of healthcare workers worldwide. This study aims to investigate the prevalence of anxiety, depression, and stress among healthcare workers in China during the early stages of the pandemic. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1,200 healthcare workers from various hospitals across China. The results showed that 35% of participants experienced moderate to severe anxiety, 28% reported symptoms of depression, and 40% exhibited high levels of stress. Factors such as workload, fear of infection, and lack of personal protective equipment were significantly associated with increased psychological distress. These findings highlight the urgent need for targeted interventions to support the mental well-being of healthcare workers during public health crises.
