A Mass Spectrometer
a Must consist of a high-resolution
mass analyzer based on electrostatic
field Fourier trans form and a high-
resolution mass analyzer using an
asymmetric ion mirror.
b Must support electrospray ionization
(ESI)
C Must have a function to automatical-
ly control the ion population inside the
mass spectrometer.
d The mass range must include m/z
40~6,000 for the electrostatic field
Fourier transform analyzer and m/z
40~6,0000 for the asymmetric ion mir-
ror analyzer
e Scan Hz for
the electrostatic field Fourier trans-
form analyzer and at least270 Hz for
the asymmetric ion mirror analyzer.

form analyzer must have a resolution
