Abstract
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has posed significant challenges to healthcare systems worldwide, leading to increased stress and mental health issues among healthcare workers.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1,200 healthcare workers in China from March to May 2020. Participants completed standardized questionnaires assessing anxiety, depression, and burnout levels.
Results: Approximately 45% of participants reported moderate to severe anxiety symptoms, while 38% experienced depressive symptoms. Burnout rates were highest among frontline medical staff (52%) compared to non-frontline staff (28%).
Conclusions: The findings highlight the urgent need for targeted interventions to support the mental well-being of healthcare workers during public health crises.
