THE BABYLONIAN CHRONOLOGY.
I N our study of the early Persian history we have been forced to consider the chronology of Babylonia and Egypt. The former is now fairly well established, but the latter is still a matter of dispute. It is the purpose of this chapter to show that the Babylonian chronology is not as certain as it has been thought to be, and that the Egyptian chronology is more reliable than has been generally supposed.
