The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Mental Health of Healthcare Workers
Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health of healthcare workers worldwide. This study aims to investigate the prevalence and severity of mental health issues among healthcare professionals during the pandemic.
Introduction
Healthcare workers have been at the forefront of the fight against the COVID-19 virus, facing unprecedented challenges and stressors. The prolonged exposure to high-risk environments, coupled with personal protective equipment shortages and increased workloads, has taken a significant toll on their psychological well-being.
Methodology
A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 500 healthcare workers from various hospitals across the country. Participants were asked to complete standardized questionnaires assessing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
