B. Conditional Conditions

(a) The number of multifunction print-

ers installed at service commencement

shall be no more than three models.

(Even models with different print

speeds must be controllable using the

same driver (excluding PS drivers).)

(b) Adjustments to the number of multi-

function printers during service provi-

sion to accommodate increases or de-

creases in staff or organizational units

due adjustments

to the number of multifunction devices

must be made under the following con-

ditions:

• The scale of increase/decrease

shall within 20% of the initial instal-

lation quantity

• Upon receiving advance notice of an

increase/decrease, provide an esti-

mated cost for the temporary ex-

penses associated with additional in-

stallation, relocation between sites,

or removal. However, the printing

unit price shall remain unchanged re-

gardless of the increase / decrease in

the number of multifunction devices.

• Confirmation items and implementa-

tion procedures for installing addi-

tional multifunction devices, relocat-

ing them between sites, or removing

them shall be determined through

consultation with JST prior to pro-

viding the output environment.

• The models of multifunction devices

added should preferably be the same

as those installed at the start of ser-

vice.

(d) Service reports shall be submitted

monthly and annually.

C. Requirements for Multifunction print-

ers

(a) Functionality

• Capable of full-color and mono-

chrome copying.

• Reading resolution must be 600×600

dpi or higher.

• Print resolution must be 600×600 dpi

or higher.

• Shade scale must be 256 levels or hig-

her.

• Memory capacity must be 4GB or

higher

• Disk capacity must be 128GB or hig-

her

(b) Scanning Functionality

• Must be a full-color scanner

• Must be capable of Reading docu-

ments up to A3 size.

• Must be capable of Reading resolu-

tions of 200/300/400/600dpi

Capable of converting scanned data

into password-protected PDF files.

Capable of converting scanned data

into highly compressed PDF files.

• Capable OCR-processed

PDF files from scanned data without

installing separate soft-

ware on the computer.

• Capable of removing blank pages

from scanned data without installing

separate conversion software on the

computer.

• Ability to detect the orientation

(portrait/landscape) of scanned da-

ta installing

separate conversion software on the

computer.

• Ability to convert scanned data into

Excel/Word documents without in-

stalling separate conversion soft-

ware on the computer.

• Ability to preview scanned document

images on the multifunction printer's

control panel and change the orienta-

tion page by page

• Continuous print speed equivalent to

the copy function.

• Output resolution of 600×600 dpi or

higher.

• Memory capacity of 4GB or more.

(d) Fax Functionality

• Being with G3 standards.

• For outputting received data, in addi-

tion to direct output after receiving,

it must be possible to convert it to

PDF and save it to a designated serv-

er. Furthermore, settings must be

configurable with administrator pri-

vileges. If copying or printing is in

progress during reception, ensure da-

ta does not mix.

(e) Finisher Functionality

• Supports paper sizes ranging from a

maximum of A3 to a minimum of

Letter size.

(f) Stacking Functionality

• It is desirable to have sorting and

stacking functionality.

D. Security Output

(a) IC Card Authentication

Equipment must include an IC card

authentication device connected to the

main unit and an authentication print-

ing environment to enable authen-

tication-based output. It must have a

mechanism to automatically update re-

gistration information either by linking

with JST's AD server or by using ac-

count information (CSV file) output

from JST's account management sys-

tem (LDAP).

(b) Output Count Data Acquisition

Acquire output count data from mul-

tifunction printers and enable timely

viewing and saving via dedicated web-

sites or similar platforms.

Enable printing from any location

within the service coverage area via

network authentication using an aut-

hentication card or similar method

This is achieved by specifying a com-

mon driver or location-specific driver

for the multifunction printer, rather

than designating a specific printer from

a PC.

(d) Capable of Cooperation with Mic-

rosoft Entra ID (cloud).

E. Log Management

The system must possess functionality

to acquire and manage logs, enabling per-

formance aggregation for each function

on an individual account basis or by de-

partment.

F. Scan Data Acquisition Method

The method for acquiring scanned data

must support two options : "Storing data

within the multifunction device and send-

ing a download URL via email, or attach-

ing the scanned data to an email for

transmission," and "Sending data to a

folder specified by JST.

G. Equipped with Fax Functionality

Equipping the multifunction printer

with fax functionality.

H. Other Requirements

Output must be possible from thin cli-

ent terminals

One driver must be provided for all

printers.
