ABSTRACT
Information and communication technologies vary greatly in their impact and potential to improve people's lives. The 21st century has witnessed a rapid revolution in information and communication technologies. Communication networks and digital information processing systems are now converging to create an integrated global network capable of conveying voice, data and video worldwide. This paper discusses the impact of the internet on society. It was discovered that the internet has impacted positively on modern society in areas like education, business and commerce as well as health sector. Although it has its negative side, the internet has done more good than harm to society. Recommendations were made based on the findings of this study.
